Nestlé launches the Nescafé Coffee Company

Nestlé FoodServices has announced the launch on 1 May of the Nescafé Coffee Company.

A total hot beverage solutions provider, the new company encompasses a complete range of premium hot beverage systems and quality ingredients, the latter including soluble, roast and ground coffees, tea and hot chocolate.

Explaining the rationale behind the new company, commercial director Quentin Knowlson says: “We aren't just offering a new range of coffees but tailored solutions for caterers, enabling them to source all of their hot drink needs and equipment from one source.

“Our equipment ranges from small counter-top to high volume bulk brew banqueting machines, catering for all price points and market segments.”

He adds: “Service is paramount to the offer and a team of fully trained consultants will work with each customer to develop a package which suits their needs.”

Coffee available under the new banner includes Roma and Milano, Roma being a range of soluble and roast and ground coffees for use with fresh milk, and Milano, a total powdered format which covers coffee, whitener and Aero Hot Chocolate. The roast and ground range includes espresso beans, ground cafetiére and filter coffee.

The company's equipment and service partners are Mulmar, for roast and ground, and UK machine manufacturer Coffeetek for soluble.

The Bistro Roma from Coffeetek is a fully automatic system using fresh milk and whose features include a range of eight drinks: cappuccino, latte, mocha, espresso, hot chocolate, black coffee, white coffee and hot water for tea; simultaneous delivery of hot chocolate or mocha, any coffee and hot water; and an electronic self clean facility. Depending on the power supply it can dispense up to 500 cups per hour.

Also from Coffeetek are the Milano machines, a slim-line, fully automatic soluble ingredient system available in three models.

Ideal for low to moderate volume sites, the Series 3 has a range of eight drinks - including cappuccino, latte, hot chocolate and hot water for tea - and can dispense up to 180 cups per hour. The Series 4 is recommended for moderate to high volume sites, has a range of up to 11 drinks and can dispense up to 250 cups per hour.

Finally, the Series 6 is best for high volume applications, with a range of 11 drinks, the capability of dispensing 9, 12 and 16oz cups, a key operated jug option and a dispense rate of up to 900 cups per hour.

The Faema is a traditional espresso machine from Mulmar, ideal for middle to high volume outlets and available in both semi-automatic and automatic versions.

Semi-automatic allows the manual control of water flow and infusion time and has an optional Cappuccino Magic® milk frothing device. The automatic model features controlled dosing via four preset buttons plus continuous coffee option and has an optional Cappuccinomatic® milk frothing device. Both are equipped as standard with two steam wands with easy to use slider controls.

The new Nescafé Coffee Company' hot beverage package will be available from mid-May.
